Being an international best seller, a handful of book lovers might have not read this one! This book made me fall in love with Vatican City! The way the author explains each clue in detail, there is no way you will believe all this is a work of fiction. Of course the churches mentioned in the book are real!
The plot is exceptional! Angels and Demons( by Dan Brown) remain my favourite from all Dan Brown’s books! I am so glad that the author did not banish Robert Langdon from his stories.
What’s the synopsis of this book? Here goes, Robert Langdon, a renowned Harvard symbologist discovers the recrudescence of an ancient brotherhood ILLUMINATI, when he is contacted by the CERN director Maximillan Kohler! Their top physicist Leonardo Vetra is murdered and his chest is branded with the ambigram of the word Illuminati. The director also informs Langdon that a canister containing a highly explosive anti matter equivalent to a nuclear weapon have been stolen; is found in a dark place with a security camera in front of it with a timer of 24 hours. The place is Vatican City and with the adopted daughter of late Vetra, Langdon flies to Rome only to find out that their four Preferti (the cardinals who are likely to be elected Pope) are kidnapped. What follows is Robert Langdon retracing the most secretive centuries old pathway to save them as well the entire Vatican City!
A fast paced one with lots of interesting twists in the book!
The author’s recent works have not been interesting enough but yet I will suggest that do not give up on his books. I love two others of Dan Brown: Da Vinci Code and Inferno. I will say that reading with an open mind whether its fiction or nonfiction is always the right thing to do no matter how harsh it may seem!
